I had a Big Gun CDI box on my 04 450r, think i over reved it and burnt it up... if i get a stocker will i notice a power difference?? or should i spend the dough and get a GOOD aftermarket one???

i have a big gun also, the extra 1000 rpms are nice because i have a 13 t sprocket and it revs so dang quick i use to hit the rev limiter all the time. i dont feel any improvement over stock as far as power, but its like a stock cdi just with more rpms. if you can afford a dyna, i would go for that, and have like drg program it for you type of riding.

thanks pro-rider for the plug,...

an aftermarket CDI should be the last thing for your engine imo.. the money can be better spent at other modification that can yield higher power output... I install Dynatek CDI on major builds where I want to program specialized ignition curves,...

BTW: there is a lot more "power" to be obtained from the stock ignition setup....;)
