Many V6 will sound raspy, don't go over 2.5" tubing, don't get a huge muffler or one made for bigger engines.

Check out dynomax. I have one on my blazer and it sounds nice. Your ranger has a smaller engine tho so who knows, mines a 4.3

try out turbo mufflers. i've heard them on many v6's and i thought that they sounded pretty good for what they were.

The 3.0 is actually one of the better sounding V6's. I have an 00 Ranger 3.0 (swapping from a Flex fuel to Non flex fuel motor right now). From what i have heard, the flowmaster 40 series is the best sounding muffler for the truck. check out the rangerpowersports forums.

i had flowmasters on my 4.3, but im sure it would sound different on yours. Get on youtube and search for ranger sound clips or something to that extent

its not grammer topic, so take ur "proper" arse to that forum, but again what would a forum be without the assclown who has to smart off and post worthless post

now.... http://fordtruckworld.tenmagazines.com/ew/forums.asp
that site could offer you some info also on what your looking for in exhaust, also when you get ready to add on other performance items

I've actually been thinking about putting some exhaust on my S-10. 4.3l of course.

Does it sound good, and how loud is yours?

Anything obnoxious loud is stupid. (I put that statement there because I know they're be one smartass that'd be like "YOU'RE ONE OF DEM KIDS THAT RACK DUR TRUCKS OFF."

I've heard a 3.0l Ranger with exhaust, and it didn't sound half bad...But the guy also tried making it sound as deep as he could, not just loud and kinda-sorta deep.
