i am a suzuki person, but for "all-around" best 450, i would say the honda. in my opinion, they are more reliable then the yamaha. but i dont really know anything about the CanAm, KTM, or Kawi either. my opinion, honda.

heres the way i see it...........

HONDA-good where ever you put,IMO, in need of fuel injection
SUZUKI-mainly for the mx track(not alot of ground clearence, wide)
YAMAHA-bout the same as honda
KAWI-once again IMO... they are ugly but great for anything you want to do.

No matter who you ask, the people that own the yammi are gunna say its the best, and the people that own honda are gunna say its the best. I myself own a YFZ450, i hate it, i sold it. It kind of ruined my love for the sport. Dont get me wrong, It ran great! still does! But stupid **** like the gas would clog on the carb after about a week and a half of sitting, then i would have to clean it out, and i dont know if you ever tried taking off a carb on these new 450's, but it certainly is not that easy. Very time consuming. I owned a 250r, Best bike i ever owned, and supposedly the 2 strokes are more maintence, aha no! I used to let that thing sit for 3 months and then it would start 1st kick.

Out of the 450's i would get a kick start 450r if i had to do it again, If i ever ride again, it will be on a 250r thats for sure!
