Maybe it's the lack of sleep last night that's giving me fits or my own stupidity but I'm trying to fine tune a guys carb for him.
Anyways, what seems to be happening is there is backfiring through the carb. I have the air box off and at a slow idle (about 1,000rpms) it idles fine and then cough/pop and a little bit ago it blew the whole carb off the boot that connects the carb to the cylinder.
FWIW, it's a Raptor 350 and has all the stock #'s in the carb. Am I off on the fuel screw? The kid took it to the mountains a couple weeks ago w/out rejetting and I told him I'd help him get it back running right after he got back and it wouldn't idle correctly.
I think I had the screw at 2 turns out last.
Thanks for the help.
