first one is how the hell do u tighten down the front 2 base nuts on a pro x cylinder if u are using the longer base studs? i filed down one wrench, but it's still not fitting in there....

second is, what color or which wire do u hook up to the kill switch? i have the ground wire of the kill switch hooked right to the frame, where does the other one go?

thanks guys...after that all i need is a chain and she's done.

My cr250 ignition came with the harness so it has 2 wires for the kill switch. I just pluged everything in until thats all I had left. The wires on mine are black and black/white. Mines off an 00 cr250.

to tighten the nuts on the studs in the front of my pro-x cylinders, I grinded down a motion pro torque adapter to the thinnest it coud go. It barely fits on there.

Actually theres 2 ways to hook up a kill switch on the CR ignition. The blk and blk/white wire is made for the kill switch. You can also tap into the wire from the CDI to coil and use that as part of the kill switch. I have my tether hooked up to the CDI/coil and will be hooking up a CR kill switch on the blk & blk/white wire.

As for the front 2 base nuts, I never had a problem  My craftsman wrench fits right in there - of course I use the closed end and its 12 pt.

Just spin that nut down until it hits the cyl then start using the wrench. If you can't spin the nut down any ... that might be a problem.

i can't seem to get the wrench down with the longer base studs (which are all the way in)...i was trying to use the open end of the wrench, but it's just not working...
here's a couple quick pics of it. just a few odds and ends left. waiting on some carb parts (which is going to take 3 weeks) like the cable holder...

you can get a cable for an 85 atc250r, it screws right into that carb. I might have one of the pieces you need, I have to look.
