ive been going to tracks lately and im going to race a few races in the 08 season.
but my problem is, i need more bottom end power, because when i come out of a turn and go to hit a jump, im either to high RPM in the lower gear, but when i shift up it just doesnt have the power. so i cant make some of the jumps.
can i drop a tooth in the front or back?
im also going to get a pipe, i know i need that alot for alot of power but im short on money and need an alternative for now.
i have stock gearing too with 20inch tires

Dang youd think that a 440 would have plenty bottom end. But yeah you can always put on a 14 tooth sprocket, or change the front and back to a 14/39. I had that combo for a while and it was actually to much bottomend.

that's what i did. I used to do the track in 2nd bouncing off my rev limitor, now i run all the tracks in 3rd, in second i just would lose traction coming out of corners now i pull hard out of corners. Well worth the whole 15 bucks for a new front sprocket. You should change your rear sprocket and your chain at the same time if you can afford it. which is probably around $100-$120

you should be alright with just changing the front sprocket for now. but if you have the spare cash get the whole works. Drop the front to a 14t. your stock gearing is 15/38. I would keep the gearing the same on the back.
Hope this will help.
