I plan on gusseting the crap outa my 400ex frame when i put the crf engine in. I know not to gusset the upper steering stem mount thingy. But Im going to guset the front end like crazy. and other various spots. I've heard that gusseting too much will reduce chassis flex causeing it to handle different/bad. But this doesnt make sense seeing as after market frames are made out of chromoly so they have less chassis flex. Am I just miss informed??

The only place that i would and am going to gusset, is right behind the pegs, the shock mounts, subframe, and thats about it. Gusseting too much will put more stress on differante areas, and then u can have major problems with frame rails themselves cracking, instead of just the welds!
