View Full Version : what should i use to grind the welds on the exhaust

Alright i want to grind the welds on the exhaust header but what should i use, i really don't have a lot of tools available at my house. so what do you guys think i should use? how much of a improvement do you see from doing this? do you see more top end, more bottom end or midrange, alls i have is a stock 2002 400ex. please help, any help is appreciated.

i don't know about actual gains. I think most people get ahold of a dremal with a grinding stone on it.

Use a dremel tool to do this, If you don't have one borrow one off a friend, You won't notice alot of gain anywhere just a little better throttle response off of bottom, I would remove the choke and add a 42 pilot jet at the same time.

I used a dremel tool, I hope to see some improvement in combination with head porting. My cylinder head was off so I figured what the heck, don't know about gains though.
