Note that it has IRS also. Big move for Honda. Now the Outlaw isn't the only one.

man this thing looks mean and im sure it has all the power anyone would need! but i bet the price tag is a bit steep

well.... overall opinion on the new 700xx is slightly under expectations. the 700's style is slightly... well actually really bulky looking!! all too similar to the outlaws' style. i think if honda would of styled it more twards the 450 look, it would have looked better. the IRS is kind of a goofy setup for a true open class desert racer. inovative but its honestly sounds heavier then it needs to be and cant really beat a good solid rear swing axle. the biggest thing for me is the damn goofy *** looks..... speedyquad said it... it looks like a damn elephant :rolleyes:

the 400 was kind of disappointing as well. we were all surely hoping for at least some better front shocks at the least. no efi. no liquid cool. on the upside however it looks meaner then ever. definately better more aggressive styling. looks like a new more comfortable seat that wont hurt your lower end on a long ride.

other then that i think honda will do great with their new 700xx to compete with the raptors. alot of people will be sure to buy one for the comfort of the ifs and the reliability of honda's line. like oleboy said, i think its gonna be steep on the price. :ermm:

700XX? What are they thinking. I've ridden an outlaw, and hated it. Sport quads aren't suppossed to have IRS. They come out with a straight axle version, and make it less bulky to become a raptor eater, and dealers wont be able to keep them around.

What is the dislike with IRS?
The Outlaw 525 looks like it would have to be the ultimate woods/trail bike.
I get sick as hell of my rear swingarm banging all the rocks while an Outlaw flies right through them. :confused:

maybe the 700xx was meant to be a trails bike? cus it sure as hell dont scream desert king to me...:huh

700cc motor, 6 speed tranny, water cooled, lots of travel, a SOLID REAR AXLE swing arm suspension, slick and lots of travel sounds like a desert king... kinda like a raptor.

i think honda dropped the ball on its secret weapon.

If they offered it in a solid axle and just trimmed the front fenders this would be the best sport quad available.

it wont and wouldnt compete with the raptor 700 even if it was a solid axle rear end and not irs. yamaha all the way on the big bore sprots series quad.

nope...it is still around, just with bold new plastics...it looks like the offspring of a yfz450 and a trx 450r

New 400ex is YFZ like mixed with idk 450R style lighting I guess
