All depends on the 4-stroke motor.

Is a modern 250, watercooled w/ modern head technology, or an older 250 air cooled 250 w/ lower compression, etc..

Makes a big difference.

Your standard 125 2-stroke vs a 250F, the 250F is the winner in most areas.

am i the only person who gets tired of the who will win post? Just race them already

By the way do you think a trx450r can beat a YFZ450? both have pipes, one rider is 200lb and the other is an ethiopian kid that ways 82lbs. Also the Ethiopian ate bologna for lunch, will that make a difference?

Well wut year are they? Tire pressure the same? Wut kind of fuel are they running?

And if the kid knows how to ride a 2 stroke, I'd say 125.

well it depends, if you have rich parents and a will to wait 2 months because you bike blew up when you didnt check the oil then yea, a 250f would be much faster, if you are like me, and make very little money, but still have a desire to race, the 2 stroke is the way to go, or if you are just a casual trail rider who hates maintenance and want to do it all on a budget, get an older air cooled 4 stroke will last you forever and cost you nothing:)

which ever one your used to, I just got a 450, I only have 2 rides on it and another one tomorrow. As of right now i am faster on a 2-stroke, I just know how to ride them better, Hopefully ill get used to the 450 or Im just going to trade it for a 250 smoker.:(
