alright is this how things are now, with all the new quads coming out i just wanna be caught up for '08 so correct me if im wrong: the predator and outlaw 500 are no more, now there is the outlaw 450, 525, and 525 with irs, the ktm 450 and 525 have the exact same motors as the polaris's but fancier frames and suspension and stuff like that.
is that pretty much it or did i overlook something

KTM and Polaris motors are 450 & 525's, but they are not exactly the same. Different carbs, and some different internals. The KTM motors are more advanced then what they provided to Polaris.

They have the same carbs & compression but I don't know about the cams profiles, ignition timing or other internals. Also the intakes and exhaust are different which is advantage KTM.

the ktm cdi lets it rev out to 11000 rpm where i believe it is somewhere between 9 to 10000 rpm for the outlaw

Why let it rev out so high? The KTM RFS 510cc engine makes its peak horsepower a little over 8000 RPM, after that it starts to fall off and after 9500 RPM it is really heading down.
