can somebody explain the design of this exhaust with the openings on the side?

pretty much works similar to a regular exhaust. it has a main perforated baffle behind those disks. only diffrence is in the end cap portion of the pipe. the disks attach to the end of the pipe and let the exhaust escap through the gaps in the disks. this will allow you to "tune" your exhaust by adding or subtracting the amount of disks you attach. more disks will allow more flow as there are more gaps for the exhaust to exit from. less disks will restrict the amount of flow.... you adjust the amount of flow the exhaust has and thats how you tune it.
