ATVing or Dirtbiking? Im not talkin about while your riding nice and slow...im talking about while your ripping it up. READY...SET...GO!

i say quads....cause when you do go down you really get screwed up....but you def go down alot more on a bike than quad

I would say atv's. Just from personal experience. Crashed my KX 125 and all I got was a bruise on my hip. Been to the emergency room after an atv wreck.

Such an old debate.....

The answer is quads, while you will crash more on a bike it's always worse on a quad.

Im going to have to say ATV's also, mainly because having four wheels is a false sense of security. People usually hop on one and arent to careful because they believe the extra two wheels is going to keep them from wrecking.

to get booted from an atv you normally have to be going faster or doing something crazier then a bike. bikes can have the wheel slip out and you hit the ground. might hurt but your not going over the bars or getting run over by the rear tires.

The thing is.. when you know your gonna wreck on a bike you can just lay it out and slide to safety.. But with a quad you either have to ride it out on it or bail and take the chance of getting tangled up in the wheels.

Everytime I crash on my quad I'm at least messed up for a few days.. Whereas when I ride my buddys crf250r I dump it all the time and never been hurt yet (knock on wood lol)

And when I ride the crf230 I know it doesn't go fast enough to get hurt

lol

Well i ask cuz my school is full of dirtbikers and they dont even give us quad guys a chance and just say were wimps and what not. im just trying to get some good opinions that i can use as leverage against them.

Quads are heavier so it takes more skill to move them around to where you want them.

Quad riders don't rely on just twisting the throttle to go faster, they have maintain their speed throughout the track.

atvs, people feel safer on 4 wheels so they go faster which doesnt lead to good results.

i had a 400EX and now i have a yz125. ill tell you its a hell of a lot harder to ride a bike aggressively than a quad. You tire out a lot quicker on a bike than a quad. But in reality they are both equally dangerous in my opinion. you ride like an idiot your gonna get hurt period, doesn't matter what your on its gonna hurt when you hit the ground if your going fast enough.
