One of my buddies has a 660 and the when it is running the reverse light is on but it isn't in reverse. I know very little about raptors so take it easy on me. Is that like like a "service engine soon" light.

Also it starts fine but when he goes to give it some gas it sputters pretty bad. We have taken the carbs off and cleaned both them and it is still doing it. The valves are adjusted properly also. Any help troubleshooting this problem is welcomed. The way it sounds is that is some issue with the carburator, but just want some other opinions on what could be the problem.

Thanks!!

there is a rev-limiter on the reverse. It could be possible that the rev limiter isn't allowing it to rev up, especially since you stated the reverse light is on all the time, even when in a forward gear..
