I have a 90 mxr and run the GNCC series with it, in the last 2 races my son has shredded the belt each time. The first belt had 5 races on it, but had no wear. This last race was a brand new belt. Has this happened to anyone, or does anybody have any ideas. Thanks

Are you running a stock belt or a malossi belt?

Stock kevlar belts, 2400 spring.

2400 koso to stiff causes alot of heat and stress on the belt also. The stock belt is not kevlar. Try a Malossi kevlar belt and a 2000 Koso spring. The idea is to have a spring that is stiff enough so the belt won't slip but not to stiff causing to much side pressure on the belt that builds to much heat. A worn or sticking rear pulley can also cause a belt to break.

this can also occur due to belt being out of allign, from frnt pulley to rear , a slight difference will cause much heat . if you have recently pulled or replaced the frnt variator , check spacing .
