Bent Rath grab bar

I wrecked my 450 and bent my Rath grab bar down. I beat the living snot out of it with a big hammer n it wont budge!!
I know everyones going to say i should just buy a new one. but i bent the mount for the grab bar on the subframe. So if i bought a new one it wouldnt mount up anyway..

Any ideas?

If you bend it back, you fatigue the metal even worse. Get a new one. Aluminum bumpers, nerfs and grab bars are meant to take the beating (bend or whatever) so that the impact is not directly absorbed by the rest of the machine or rider. :scary:

But the mount on the subframe is bent too! I at least need to get this one bent back into place before i can buy another one that will mount up.

just buy a new one unbolt the old one mount it up on the unbent side and beat the mount back untill you can bolt it up

If you bend that subframe back it will be further comprimised also...I'd go buy one from service honda if I were you.

if its just the mounts on the subframe and nothing structural it should be fine if its the accual subframe im afraid the best thing to do is buy a new one
