I just did some motor workon our 70cc ,porting, flywheel and removed starter gear. I was running around 4.5's stock but thats not going to work now,the clutch ingauges at very low rpm's. i was thinkg around 3.2 or 3.5 any suggestions.

You dont want a low RPM clutch engaugement.

Or are you saying since the mods you need more stall?

3.5 grams sould be close need to see how it reacts with your rider on it and see where your at power wise.

before the mods, it had a good amount of stall and wound up quick. now its more like the big polaris quads engauges at low rpm's.

Now that you got some power this is what always worked for me on the 70 and we still run it on the 90 (for now… I got a new plan lol). But this set up won us a lot of races with just a bolt on Malossi single ring 70 jug kit and now with just a ported stock 90 jug. What you want to do is get the whole travel of the vareator with the lowest gram weights, but both clutches work together. Mark the vareator with a sharpie to test your belt travel. The rear springs are your problem get your self some heavy hitters and you'll be fine

5.4 Malossi rollers
Malossi Delta fly clutch
Red Malossi big spring
Red Malossi little springs
Koso clutch bell
Malossi belt (the widest one)

Hope this helps a little
