it was brought up in the dune section, and we thought it should go where more ppl could see it. it would be a good way for us to recognize each other and to promote the site also. so what does everybody think?

It will be an easy way to identify our group:
check out the disscusion in dune tales under the name of 'flags'.
any ideas are welcomed, nothing is decided for sure yet!
if you have connections with some one that can produce flags LET US KNOW!
lets get some support behind this!

I dont mean to sound like a freakn' info-mercial but I spent three days a Little Sahara in OK, and did not see anyone from here out there, I know they were there just no way to Identify them.

i'm there. i need 5 at least. everyone else on here that rides dunes make sure you ask your friends you ride with so that would be a few more to make it cheaper for everyone hopefully. most people on here im sure ride with other people that dont visit this site and its up too you to let them know about our idea. it will also benefit them.

yea that would be an awsome idea but dont some dunes only let pure red flags or orange flags be used ?

most dunes require an orange or red flag but you can put another flag under it, I think it should be an easy to see color, maybe a bright yellow or black.

FREERIDE132...... the design has to be kind of plain so that it does not cost alot to make.

It sounds like we have enough support now, so as soon as we nail down a color and what it needs to say I will call the flag company and get some prices.

keep hammering out the ideas, it is going to be hard to please everyone so it needs to be plain and simple.

Thanks for helping me bring some attention to this.

Maybe one of the sponsers of our site could help us out getting a good deal? Just a thought! :devil :devil

One quick thought, we need to consolidate this in one post somewhere so it is not strung out in 10 different forums, it is getting alittle hard to watch all the different places i have brought this up for discussion to see what everyone wants!

It prolly is up to the webmaster, (Ben) he needs to OK, like he didnt want the exriders race team, all exrider's things are rpetty much up to him right?

Im in for graphics too....gimmie some specs though. What are you looking to be put on the flag? And they are kinda small, it would still be a little hard to tell from a distance.

Im open to suggestions though. Name em. :)

I dont see why the webmaster would have a problem with this it has a dual purpose:
1. It helps us identify each other

2. It promotes the site by others seeing our flags

I am sure that the sponsers of the site would agree, the more people who come in here the more people who are likely to buy stuff from them. And that is the name of the game or there would be no sponsers of this site. correct me if i am wrong.

IMO, I think that the letters EX should be in yellow or something so they stick out on the orange flag?! :confused:

I made up some for ATV Connection. Here is the link FLAGS (http://www.jsmith.net/Flags/atv_connection_flags.htm)

If Ben wants to donate money to Blue Ribbon as well it would be the same price if not than $1.00 less.

Those are made from denier nylon and are very thick when compared to the ones you can see though.

Well somebody get them made,,,I"ll buy one to use for my trips to the badlands..which means I'll use it about once every 2 years..:( maybe it will give me a reason to go more..:devil

like the fist flag with rthe quad and rider on it, but the Exriders needs to be a little bigger to see,I agree simple is good, but this really needs to get ok'd though Ben.I want one ASAP :)

I think flags would sell very well. Most people will sometime make a trip to the dunes and need a flag. So why not just get a EXriders flag? I also think strikers are the best. The simpler the better, no need to go crazy on them.

yea i like strikers one with the EX riders logo on it but make the EX black and it would look sick, i don't ride dunes but i do ride snow so id buy one...how much are they gonna cost? you count me in BEN :D

from what i have seen, there are a lot of riders out west here, and they dune a lot. so in my opinion, there would be many sold.

IMHO, it would be a great addition to the store and they would prolly sale big.

Now, I like the 1st one better than the second one....but you have to think of what is gonna be more visible? Its gonna be harder to see a logo that is smaller than the simple EXRiders.com text. See what I mean? I think the 2nd one would stick out better, especially at a distance.

Up to you guys though, Im just here to supply the demand. :p

EX RIDERS.COM in black bold letters would be good enough. that way it will keep the cost down also. People will be able to pick it out easier also. I feel that would be the best way to go. nobody wants to spend a bunch of money on a flag, considering eventually they will start to look crappy from blowing in the wind all the time. but you have at least 5 sold on my end as soon as we figure out what we are going to do.

I tried yellow, but it wasnt hardly visible on the red/orange like I thought it would be. I believe the black would be more advisable.

*In a Jeff Foxworth accent* Now all you has to do is cut that "sharpied" piece of plastic into a triangle, punch a small hole in two of the corners, grab a pole, zip tie the piece of plastic to the pole, and attach it to the quad. Now you have a yellow flag with exriders.com on it.

I am back and it looks like this is going over really good I like the red flag with black writing, plain simple and hopefully cheap. So I guess all that is left is to get the OK from Ben and make some calls with some definate numbers of flags. I can not believe how much support this has gotten from everyone!

Someone beg Ben to let this go through.

dude, I ride dunes, other people ride dunes, even the people that dont ride dune...want to ride dunes...so this flag thing is a d*nm good idea...IMO

Hey man as soon as we get the OK from the webmaster, and put together a definate number of how many we need: So let it be written, so let it be done!

we need to count how many we need, and some way to keep track of it. maybe pm me with how many your interested in, that way when I call the flag people maybe we can get some sort of group or volume discount.

so start sending in # of flags and hopefully this will get approved by the webmaster!

I'm in for 2. As far as which design, I like the 1st one better, but the 2nd one would probably be cheaper due to only being one color.

Don't ride dunes but we do have very steep (sp?) hills we climb and alot of times people can't see us coming up or down them and that flag would really help
