Hello,
I think that the clutch pin on my 400ex is broken, I pull in the clutch lever and it won't spring back, the cable is not broken so I 'm getting ready to take apart the housing and see what's wrong. Does anyone know where I can get a new one?
Thanks in advance.
Dave

you're talking about the pin that pulls the plates apart right? i broke mine 30 miles out on a trail a couple years back. i just got one from a local dealer, but make sure you get a new gasket for when you take the side cover off.

OK Here goes, When I pulled the clutch it had no resistance, I looked at the cable and it's ok. I was told by someone that the clutch spring sometimes breaks, so I took off the clutch cover and sure enough the spring fell out and it seems to me that the clutch release pin is worn. I am no mechanic unless I have step by step instructions, I would really appreciate any input or help. I really didn't want to take it somewhere and spend 500 bucks if I could get some help, hell I'll make whoever helps free stickers! S.O.S.!!!!!!:ermm:
