I was only out on Saturday but I had an awsome time. There were a lot of people out enjoying the day riding the hills, even a lot of dune buggies. I'll attach a few pics I took while there.

The highlight of my day is when the guys I was there with let me take there machines for a ride.
Now understand, I never rode a quad larger than my 400EX and I have been unable to make some of the larger hills with it but when I took out the Raptor 700 it was like straping a rocket on and I was able to make it up those hills I couldn't with my 400EX, what an awsome rush it gave me.
I must thank MR. BIG, Barry and Brian for the opportunity they gave me to ride there machines. That will be a day I'll never forget, when I got home I couldn't stop thinking of the awsome power those machines had. Thanks guys!!
As you can see if you look in the for sale section of this forum I have put up my 400EX which I love to ride in order to move up to a larger quad. I would rather not put money into building up the 400 just to get the power close to a 450 I want to start with a large cc quad and go from there because I love that feeling of being propelled up the hill like a rocket and I am sure I will want more power later on down the rode that I won't be able to get from the 400EX. Don't misunderstand me I love the 400 and it is a great machine but in my opinion it doesn't compare to the thrill I got when riding the larger quads.

If your really looking for a lot of power go with a Hybrid. Sure they kinda cost a lot of money but man do they Rip, Even in stock form. (all stock except a exhaust) But very glad to see that you had a good time!! Got any more pics?

Nice pics ed! I see you are wanting to upgrade to a bigger quad you should have no problem selling yours that thing is mint.Saturday was alot of fun I should have left saturday night and I wouldn't have crashed on sunday. I lost it to the left of the huge horseshoe and it rolled from the top all the way to the bottom:ermm: All I can say is Honda's are built tough! Damage is minor and I got to ride the rest of the day.:macho

Glad to see you didn't get hurt and were able to continue to ride.
Definitely is a bummer when a crash like that happens especially when you know you can do the hill because you've done it so many times before.
I can just imagine what it feels like to see your quad tumbling down the hill. You don't know what damage to expect when you finally retreive it. I'm glad the damage was minor.

I sent out some E-mails to a few local ATV dealers to get a bottom line Out The Door Price on a Yamaha Raptor 700R and I can't wait to hear back from them to see if I can get a good price on one. If one of them comes back with a great price I think I'll jump on it right away. I don't intend to personally go visit each dealer to negotiate on a price, I feel if they want to sell one they will give me there best price right away which I noted in my e-mail to them, if not, it's there loss not mine.
I sure hope I can sell the 2 quads I listed for sale on this forum to offset the cost of the new quad. But if I don't sell them I guess I'll just have 2 back-up quads to ride or store in the garage.

Thanks trx520chk!!
Here are a few pics of the 07 Raptor I recently picked up. I can't wait to see how it does on the hills at trevorton but the owners manual says to take it easy for the 1st 20 hours. I will try to break it in correctly but I still want to try some of the hills.

Nice ride Ed! Get that thing broken in because you know when we go again its time to climb the big hills. My front fender is on back order. Everything else should be ready to go by then.:macho

Thanks Alan:
I am trying to ride around the house as much as I can to break it in but 3 tanks of gas or 20 hours is a lot of riding when you only have 6 acres to ride on. We may have to do some trail riding first to get some more hours on the quad before I attempt the larger hills that will need full throttle. I also want to pick up a set of paddle tires but don't know when I will order them. It may not be before our next ride. By the way, do you have a date for the next ride or are you playing it by ear to see when you get your fender in? PM me and let me know when you plan on going, I just cleared out my inbox because I got a message that it was full so a PM should work now. Sorry about the full inbox.

No injuries at all once I knew I couldn't save it I jumped out of the way and watched it roll all the way to the bottom. It was horrible but the damage is minor and all ready fixed.:macho Going sept.29!

wow, good to hear your frame didn't bend... most of the rolling quads I've seen all get bent sub-frames...

For those who rode in Trevorton Pa. before.
Could you tell me if you need or is required any registration or insurance to ride there?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Dan:
Here is a link to the Reading Anthracite web site.
http://www.readinganthracite.com/index.html
Once you are at the home page scroll down the page and you will see a little box that says Access Permits, shown below, click on that box and it will open a PDF file explaining all requirments for riding at Trevorton because this is Readings land. I hope this helps to answer your question.

Thanks TargetBow for the info. Any idea what the permit cost? There pdf file quotes it will be posted later but, I couldn't find it. Is it true they will put a wheel lock on your tow vehicle if you are not permitted in the area. I heard this from a few people. I really enjoyed all your pics and video's in this post. Have a great ride on your new bike.
Thanks again,
Dan

Dan:
I can't say I ever heard of a wheel lock being put on your tow vehical. I think all they would do is ask you to leave and try to get a permit before coming back again. The cost was $100.00 per permit this year and as far as I know they are all sold out. The permit only gives the permit holder permission to ride their land so each person in your group would need one.
I am not saying that you can't ride without a permit all I am saying is that you need one to ride legally and not have to worry about being asked to leave.
Glad you enjoyed the pics and vids.
