i believe for the r there are only stock positions that i know of.... ims makes wonderful kick up pegs. they are so awesome . my feet dont move unless i want them to / not to mention the extra leverage that the kick ups give in corners.

lower and back 1" is a postion for 88/89 pro-pegs, it basically brings the pegs back to a 86/87 position. Alot of your 88/89 pro-pegs are in that position, some advertise that.

What about for the 86/87

I don't think there is any for 86/87, the footpegs are already in the perfect location. The 88/89 postion needs help, too high and forward, 86/87 is perfect. 86/87 mods would be kick-up and widers pegs, thats all I can think of.

I've got a set of AC Pro-Pegs for an 86/87 and I swear that they're farther back and lower. I've added a shorty shift lever and am in the market for a shorty brake lever as well. Although, I've never actually checked how far off they are from stock.

i had the shorty shifter on my R with pro peg setup and didnt like it much. especially with heavier thicker boots.

Completely agree! I personally hate the location of my pro-pegs, and wish I could go back to the stock location. I just don't know what other style of pegs I'd rather go with instead. And I'd also like to stay with the nerf style bars, rather than getting the IMS/Roll widened kickup pegs. Can you use standard nerf bars with the IMS/Roll pegs?

wonder if anyone has designed/made a custom set of propeg frame mounts? that way ya could get your foot right where ya want/need it. shouldnt be all that hard to do huh.

Yea, that's something I'll definitely look into. All you would need is some plate steel and round tube/pipe. Are you talking about modifying the front where it mounts to the motor mounts, or the back where it mounts to the foot peg?

Wouldn't the overall width of the entire nerf bar, from where it mounts in the front to where it mounts by the peg, limit you you to how much you could actually adjust it? Also, I'm just going off from memory right now, so I might not be thinking this through properly.

reason for asking is im 6' 2" and needed leg room on the LT by dropping the pegs just 1" made a world of difference, and back justa bit helps to lighten the front end, my son is almost 6' 3" and isnt comfy on the 4 trax, I figured a 1" drop and back a bit with a Hiflight seat will help, going to raised tag bars also helped, BTW he's only 170 lbs! LOL
