well my labor day rided ended about an hour in........

track was perfect, quad was running great and everythign was clickin perfectly, until my uncle distroyed his leg!! after the big double on the dinning hall track he layed his cr250f over on his leg goin about 5mph. He broke his tib and fib 2" above his ankle and then compound fractuce his tib again about 5 " up from that and that had popped threw the skin. I packed up and hauled it to the hospital where we sat for about 5 hours, then i took his two sons back to VA. later that night he had surgery and got pins and a plate put in. He came home the next night. wish i would'v been there to ride with ya guys but i'll be up there again...... pictures look great pappy

I had a blast like always at BPG. My buddy jon on the other hand didnt. We got there and get took about 10 laps on his quad and then it died. W couldnt get it going for the rest of the weekend. Although I did let him ride mine.

I was pissed cause i didnt get to ride with wimmer at all. But I had fun riding with everyone else. That dude on the yellow z400 could do some pretty nice turn downs and such.

Also I would like to thank the Burke family for hooking me up with a master link. Thanks guys.

I had a good time. Burgers and dogs were excellent by the way for whoever made them. My hand kept hurting me after bottoming out pretty hard on the big double after the flag jump. I only saw Pappy once taking pictures and it was in the berm right after. Wish I could have got some more of Pappys awesome pictures. Did anyone find out what happened to the dirtbike who crashed on the transfer jump? My friends dad said he thought a bone might have been sticking through his leg!:eek2: Also did anyone see what happened to Kelly? I noticed she was almost in the pond when I drove past..... Pappy if you have any pictures of a red 450r #151 or a black 450r #86 post em up.

Thanks,

Brent

She came around the sweeper turn wide and spun out in front of me and headed right for the pond. She made a heck of a save and scared the crap out me.:eek2:

She doesnt even look like she is going fast out there, but I was giving it damn near everything I had to run her pace:o She makes it look pretty easy.

Once again, great pics Pappy. Bummed I missed the action but at least I did get to do some trail riding at a huge riding park here in NC...Busco Beach. Looks like another thriller weekend at Breezewood.

I am guessing Kelly went around that sweeper and lost traction, swung around a bit and went right down over the hill...at least that is exactly what happened to me once. That is a very scary ride heading down the hill.

That's exactly what happened, Jon!! It was pretty scary, but I'm glad I didn't fly off into that murky, muddy pond. lol. Amanda said that pond was about 12 feet deep! Thanks to Kevin who came to my rescue and also to the 2 guys that waited with me until Kevin came with the 4x4. To make matters more embarrasing, Dan just had to pull out the megaphone and say, "no swimming in the pond, Kelly"

It was a great weekend, as usual and I got to meet and ride with so many new friends. Hope to see you all up there for Fallfest... October 6th and 7th!!

Kelly, I didn't have nearly as much luck as you. The water wasn't deep at the time...just mud. I made it all the way across but couldn't get up the other side. Nobody came to my rescue.

Sorry I missed a great time. Hopefully I make FallFest...I will try to get Connie to come along. Hopefully Zack's recovery is going well.

I expected to see pictures of you in some Ride Red gear...instead, you are still riding that junkie quad. ...at least it isn't blue. lol.

Haha Kevin...reminds me that my quad is still infected with that Yammy bolt you gave me for the subframe. :eek2: How many people you figure carry around spare upper subframe bolts? ;)

Man I miss hanging out at Breezewood with everyone. I could make it up this coming weekend but I am planning to take off the week after September 15th and spend it there. Thinking of going to the final WPSA race too. It would be rough for me to make the journey on back-to-back weekends. My last two trips have been about 7 hours each way...keep getting stuck in a traffic jams due to accidents or construction.

Connie was surprised when I told her we probably rode with Josh a few times on the trails around Jessup. Small world indeed.

Well, time to get to bed. Tell the family I said hello.

I didn't even pull the Honda out of the trailer!! A friend of Zach's test rode it for me a couple of days before and he and Zach said something about the a-arms and back end being not dialed in correctly and he didn't trust it enough for me to ride or jump it. He was planning on working on it a little up there, but never got around to it. Oh, well. I really wanted a chance to ride it, but I still had fun on my Yamaha!! Hopefully, it will be ready for Fallfest and I hope you and Connie can make it that weekend!

Man what a great weekend ! Awesome weather and so many great people including pro racer Dustin Wimmer! I want to thank everyone who made it out this weekend to ride or spectate, Amanda and I were glad to have you and had a great weekend.

I have some people to thank: Pappy for taking so many great shots of every one. Kevin Hill for keeping everything running, Josh for helping him. Rich the carpenter for all his help getting the rental lights set up for the big race. The Pickle family for all their help with pretty much everything !! The Bellerose family who were also here all weekend helping out with everything. All the people who donated dishes for the cookout on Sunday - The Food Was Awesome ! Thankyou to all the volunteers who helped out to flag and work the kids race. Daryl Mallow from Bedford Motorsports who donated prizes for the mud bog, and called all the racers to the line. As always there were so many great people all weekend long helping out - Thank you - your what make this place what it is.

Final Touch Restying and Jibbergoon.com sponsored the Saturday Night Race providing t-shirts and plaques to all the winners and participants. Final Touch does alot to help provide a professional image for the park and to make the place more enjoyable for you. Someone posted earlier about an accident involving a two wheeler and the tractor. I wanted to use this as an opportunity to let people know how important it is to be aware of what is happening around you while riding.

We had a terrible accident on Sunday when a rider ignored a sign and a kid standing there pointing people off the track and jumped the connector table top while I was backing up the landing ramp with the tractor. You can imagine how terrible of an accident it was. Thank fully his only injury, although severe was a puncture wound to his thigh. It required surgery but he was back at the track late that night. His response to ignoring the track closed sign and the person waving him off the track was that he planned on doing that jump then getting off.

Wether its a sign, a flagger, a person from the stands or what, its never OK to ignore someone warning you to stop or slow down. We have a rule that is posted throughout the park that if the water truck is on the track then that track is closed, and still occassionally people will try and ride while we are watering! If you see me overly upset with someone for riding while I'm watering its because I know how dangerous that is and what can happen and don't want to see someone killed. Again thankfully the guy is ok, but let this be a reminder to us all.

coolguy,

hope your uncle is doing good, he is one tough man. It was obviouse his leg was broke, and he was so calm and tough about it. Can't believe they got his boot off without cutting it. I had that same break about 10 years ago and I screamed from the time it happened until they put me under for surgery. I wish him a speedy recovery and I'm sorry your weekend was such a bummer. Hope you can make it up for our Fall Fest.

Our FALL FEST CELEBRATION is October 6th and 7th, the temperatures should be awesome for riding and we have some cool events planned. Saturday we are having a pitbike and kids two wheeler harescramble race. SATURDAY NIGHT were having a barn bash in the pit bike barn with a dj and a live band. Should be a great time once again. Sunday we'll have our final pigroast of the year and have hayrides around the park.
Hope everyone can make it again.

I was at your place last Oct when you were building the down hill jump on the pro track. What amazed me was that people were riding around you while you were digging out for that jump. Some people's stupidity amazes me...... Keep up the good work, Dan. See you in another month.
