My first car...

hello guys

So, yesterday i bought my first car. It isn't my ideal car but it will get me to point a to point b and I got a pretty dang good deal on it i think. And you all know i was savin for a 450r but i finally realzied i needed a car first so i bought one.So here it is

1993 ford lx mustang....rear light damage on the left side by the gas cap from where a car backed up into it.
98,000 miles

total price:700 w/o all the files and sutff

99,000 man...I mean it really isn't my ideal car but my mom wants me to get a not so nice car for my first car because she said that most kids wreck the first year they have there lieances..but i think i am goin to get a black racin stripe down the middle of the car and get a white "MUSTANG" decal for the front windsheild. Ya,it's the only car i know that has red interor lol..

Sounds like you got a good deal, my truck was $2500, its a 97' and it had 232,000+ miles when we got it, i would love an older mustang, as long as it has a V8 and RWD i'm good.

If you dont really like it, put it on ebay and sell it. The LX coupes still bring decent money to those who want the body to put a V8 in. Yours looks to be a 4cyl. but it doesnt really matter people mainly want the body.

ya its a 4 cyclidner i dont really like the 3rd generation style but its a good first car i think..My next car is goin to be a newer mustang..

Yeah them front wheel drive mustangs are getting harder to find everyday. I got one but I need another for parts.

I was never into that body style myself, but they have grown on me, my dad and I have talked of getting a 1990 or something cheap and making a hot rod.

Assuming its not a V8, there isn't much, i would say a K&N filter and an exhaust system, but don't over due it,Anything less than a V8 tends to sound like crap with the big exhaust, keep it a single outlet, 2.5" pipe and it should be alright.

Sounds like a fun beater car for 700 bucks you shouldn't have to worry bout stuff breaking which is nice. BTW I thought you bought a 450r off of ebay?:confused:

As time goes on you'll see that the 4 banger mustangs are going to be a little more valuble because of people seeking bodies. I would drive it as it is till the 4 cylinder gives up. By the time it does you should of saved enough money to proceed with a v8 swap and such and you can build a car from there :macho

To the few of you that just dont get the joke, this ^^^^ is why I joked about the front wheel drive mustang. This dude wants a mustang as long as its V8 and rear wheel drive.

haha that was also my first car first week i had it i dropped the 4 banger out and put in a 351 windsor fast lil car till i tried to be a john andretti going around a 25 mph turn at 80 :-/ didnt come out 2 hot good lil car though good luck with it
