Well I cant get my xbox 360 to show in true high def on my RCA TV. My friend just reconfigured his wires and Rainbow Vegas looks a whole lot better on his screen than mine. I cant figure out how to get it showing in true high def. Has anyone else had this problem with their xbox360? yes its a high def television

1080p is the highest commercially available hd right now. 480p used to be considered hd not very long ago...now it's ed though. 720p and 1080i are considered hd imo.

did you flip the switch? adjust settings on the 360 dashboard? throw in a thx film and calibrate your tv settings?

You can't get 1080p with component cables. You need HDMI cables to get 1080p but unless you have a newer 360 there is no HDMI port. I have an older one and a new Elite. Component cables on the old one and HDMI on the new....Not a lot of difference and I have them both hooked up to a full 1080p tvs.

my buddy said his tv upconverts 1080i to 1080p.. but its really not true 1080p but still looks good..

to that slow guy: yea 720p and 1080i is HD.. but "true HD" as lots call it.. is 1080p

I understand that "true" HD IS 1080p. My tvis 720. my friends 360 looked the same way that mine did and he played with his wires and it made a huge diff. Im sure mine is supposed to show up better too. My buttons done even illuminate the way they should in the dashboard. Ive changed things in the console settings and on my tv.????
