hey i live in new york and i heard that if it snows over a certain depth that it is legal to ride a quad in the street because it is considered an emergency vehicle is this true ?

i live in NJ and i have heard that too. not sure if its true but the cops couldnt catch you anyway

I believe you have to have a flag and a working tail light and head light... And yeah they can catch you cuz the 2wd quads suck in snow.. If you stud your tires then thats a little diff story.

in pa they have to declare a state of emergency or something for it to be legal... i've done it b4 back when i was in like 3rd grade...

if ya want to ride on the road move up by lake sup. in wisc. every road is a atv trail except the main highways.:D

Up here in NH it's legal to ride in the state corridor snowmobile trails in the winter. As long as their is enough snow for the snowmobiles, there is enough for ATV's. It's a blast!!!

yes in NY its legal, if its decleared a state emegency, me and my dad (when we had our foreman and warrior) rode on route 32 for a few miles, filled up on gas, and rode all around town, a cop saw us and waved. heh

we dont have snow we have rivers haha but the cops dont chase after us.......the land owners SHOOT US....seriously there have been a few shot i know this is o/t but thought i would throw it in since im from the dirty south
