Heres a couple of my 4hundy. The rear end is all torn down now (replacing bearings again) and soon to be powdercoated black(swingarm, rotor hub, axle). Also planning on getting the skids pc black along w/ the bumper nerfs, etc.

I wouldnt consider that junk, the mods you have are the best things, if you had some nerf bars you would be good to go.

I hate to say it but once you start getting aftermarket plastics it makes the quad reallt ugly lol stock plastics look way cooler

yeah hornet god i know the quad o fthe month but those people have arms shocks everything thats what they need to win but i was looking for some that may be almost completley stock just lots of paint powder coat plastics and like handguards

I got 'em, just having a pain installing them, i'm working on my axle now...my brake hub won't go on the splines.

this is my new 2002 400ex. i bought it off a farmer who never rode it. it only went through one set of tires. it was completely bone stock. i have only added sand tires, k&n and a bumper and nerf bars. i painted the headlights also. its in the works but i plan on adding yfz airscoops like my other 400 and graphics and what not. this is really wife quad so its realy up to her i guess

i used hand guard mounts for the bottom holes and just made some from aluminum straps on the top. the scoops i used are maier. i will try to get some pics of how to do it soon.

the airscoops from maier on ebay are like 50 + shipping. and it looks way cool. i always get compliments on them. i will get some pics asap

I'd say Hornetgod and Bigfish's old quad are the best i've ever seen.

Thanks Ride Hard Man. There are some great quads out there like SandMan69's quad that my quad couldn't hold a candle to. This is turning into just another thread of anybodys quad. I was hoping to see the "Best of the Best"

If you want best of the best i'd say look at past QOTM entries. But its also nice to have threads like this to see updated pics of peoples quads reguardless of how many threads there are like this.

Hornetgod13, I'm glad you did post ur bike. I love it. If I do have one question for you though, why did you get a 400 instead of a 450.

I eventually plan to powder coat the frame. I might even go after upgrading front suspension too. It all takes time and money and I have neither at the moment.

I'm a trail rider most of the time. Reverse and electric start were a huge selling points for me. Additionally, this was my first Quad and the 400EX has a reputation for being very reliable. I'm totally happy with my Quad and don't regret getting it. I don't really understand everyones obsession with the 450R.

HORNETGOD13... I went right out and switch those tires when you brought that to my attention. Still cant believe I had those going the wrong direction. I agree with you as I was hoping to see the Best of the Best. Thanks for the complimant as I am a fan

This bike is a 465 stroker, with a JE 13.5 to 1 piston, milled the head bring the compression up to 15 to 1. custom Ferra valves, custom intake, major head job, 44 lectron on alky, street bike clutches, custom made head studs. This bike pulled 54 hp when it was still a 440, havn't dynoed this bike yet with the stroker.. this bike will make alot of yfz and trx bikes look very bad....The bike weighs about 275 to 285, we have add and removed stuff sence those's pics's.

Someone asked about heat issues...

had problems when it was on gas, but when we switched to alky never had another problem again.

Someone asked about the exhaust...

Its got whole different exhaust on it now. It's a whole different bike now....stuck a xr600 motor in it and running 30% nitro mix.
