swingarm question

i am in the process of replacing my swing arm bearings in my 03 400 ex. the question i have is on both outside edges of the swing arm where the end cap goes there is a small lip that im assuming holds he end cap in place. that lip is half gone on both sides so can i still use the swing arm ?????i need answers asap please. thanks

if it is, mine did the same thing. what it does is keep all the dirt and water out. theres really no sure way of fixing it, except trying to weld a lip back on and thats pretty tricky:ermm:

yea thats what im talking about. im goin to put it back together today and see how it goes
