no filter on 250ex

The 250EX has no oil filter. Any thoughts on Honda's reason or way around this.

Should oil changes be more frequent?

Neither does the Recon or TRX90 and probably a few others. They do have a screen and centrifugal filters inside the motor though. I checked the ones on my Son's 90 and it was a waste of time as there was nothing in there to clean.
