which tires would you get in 20x11-9?

10-29-2002, 08:55 AM
get the holeshots xc. they come in 20-11-9 they are pretty good for xc but they are heave and they suck for mx.they are 6 ply and really heavy.

I like the razrs, that's what I'm going with in the next month or so, but they both seem to be good tires! I have friends who have had good luck w/ both, but to each his own! Just my $.02! :devil

Both are top quality tires, so it comes down to personal preference.

If you like lots of sidebite, go with the Holeshot. If you like predictable sliding, go with the RAZR.

Typically the Holeshots in this size are about 1" taller in actual size than the RAZRs.

I concur with Gabe. The Holeshot's run bigger than advertised. My 20" Holeshots were a hair taller than my LT's stock 21" Dunlops. I also noticed on my Dale that the Holeshots definitely don't like to slide when on the gas. I can come out of a moderate speed 2nd gear turn and nail the throttle in hopes that I get the rear end sliding a little but inevitably the tires bite and the front end lifts and I launch straight ahead (not always the direction I was desiring to go). I'm gonna ride them until they go bald but when it's replacement time I'm going with Razr's.

beerock,,,yes they last a long time,,,i ride mainly gravel/pavement between farms, and on the weekends woods and trails,,,i'm happy with how long the tread lasts, but like guy said they have alot of side bite that can either be good or bad depending on your riding,,,later

I like the 20" holeshot XCR's, Mike Haas, a 250A and 4stroke A rider put's them on when it gets muddy and they work good. i'm thinking about getting a set.

Doesnt razr make an MX tire?

Bean
10-29-2002, 08:26 PM
sure do

i like the Holeshot 20's better than the Razr's, i rode on em both, and i felt as if i could ride faster on the Holes, but thats me

so is there anyone else who has cut a hole shot? 2r's said he cut 2 brand new ones in the same day WTF?

that scares me....

Do they not hold air either?

its such a hard choice to make......

beerock, i haven't cut mine yet, but i have a slow leak in the left rear (very slow, maybe a pound a week), i took the wheel and tire off and searched for the leak with a spray bottle, couldn't find it, so i put 1/2 a bottle of liquid sealer in it a week ago and i hope that stops it (hasn't yet),,,later

Kenda Klaws!

Hands down the best tire I have run. Just introduced a month or so ago. They won the sport tire shootout too. check em out. Never had one flat or pulled tire all season, and I do not run beadlocks. 6ply rated at jsut over 2ply weight.

see them at www.mta-la.com

I've rac my Holeshot XC's for the entire season and lots in between. Rocks, stumps, sharp tree stobs, they hold up. I'll be going with the new Razr 2's this christmas though. I want more slide and more tread depth.

I purchased the razar2's and I like them alot they seem to hook a better than the regular razars. Just my 2 cents I would buy them againg even though they are more expensive than the first one's!!!!!!!!!!

i have the stock 22x10-9 rears now. i was looking at the holeshot's in 20x11-9's. will it hurt anything if i go the extra inch in width? i know going from 22's to 20's will give me more bottom end and thats what i'm looking for.

My friend has had Razrs on his 300 for about 2+ yrs and they still have decent tread on them. He's does a mix of trail riding and mx on them, still good to go! :D 20x11-9

I should be getting 4 razors tomorow, Im getting my beadlocks ready for them.

(im taking my radials off the front rims today)- I cant wait to see how hard this is gonna be....

I ordered razor 4 ply rear 20x11-9

and razor 4 ply fronts 21x7-10

I also picked up another dealer in the process.

I was freakin out because my other dealer didnt have the 4ply only the 6 ply and I needed them by friday.

I guess I lucked out!!!

I'm going to be posting some tires and oil up in the for sale section soon....

I'm loving my XCR's... If I'd know what a difference it was going to make I would have slapped a set on a long time ago.. Like Gabe said probably not the best sliders in the world (learned this the hard way).. but man do they DIG.. So far they seem to be wearing like iron, and holding air fine.. <c'mon snow/mud/slush!>

Razr's !!!

I have the xcr hole shots and they have great traction but i agree with everyone else that they are really hard to get them to slide and one of myne isn't holding air eather. I have to fill it up about once a week. Next time i will be going with razors but that won't be for a while because they seem to be lasting quite a while.
