View Full Version : 250r nuts help!!!looked & looked still confused?

OK i bought a 250r lonestar axle and i have a 400ex i want to put it on, my confusion is do i need ANY other parts from the 250r besides the hubs? now can i use the 400ex brake stay and the threaded part with my rad lock nut? thanks I'm lost on this one lol...need responses asap.....and yes i looked for this info but I'm still confused HELP.....

i believe you need to use the three piece for the type of axle ...eg. 250r,400ex,etc. that your using. also the stay needs to match you swingarm UNLESS your using a tapered carrier,in which it needs to be a special part for a tapered carrier. you said you were clear on the hubs already. i have a couple 250r 3piece nuts if you interested. hope this helped.;)

can i please get a 100% straight answer, i tired of guessing.its just that i keep getting these mixed answers some say yes use all 400ex parts and 250r hubs some say i need the 250r brake stay others say i need the 250r 3 piece lock nut.im ready to throw this axle out the window and that will be that hahaha j/k........ i would like to hear the straight answer if your not sure please dont confuse me any more lol.....but i do apperiate all you guys tring to help me though no hard feelings toward anyone.

im sure you need the 250r hubs. Im pretty sure that you will need the brake stay for a 250r and a 250r locknut

my friend did this.... 85-89 250r or 350x hubs, 250r or 350x axle lock nut, thats it. If you change the brake stay and use a 250r caliper, you can use a 250r anti-fade.

thank you..... this guy called me and we have gotten a straight answer.thanks to all I'm happy now all you need is the threaded part of the 250r axle nut for my application.:)
