What should I expect to pay for the HRC installed?

very happy with the hrc kit on mine, I agree its a awesome kit

I think the kit is right at 300 bucks and to have dealership install will prob. add a couple hundred to that.

I have heard its easy to install but I did have the shop install it as part of my purchase when I bought the atv.

i paid 325 for the kit, dealer said he'd install for around 250...but i just did it myself. Buy the kit and service manual and if you have a little mechanical know-how you'll be able to install it no problem. Just do as the book says!

when did they come out with th HRC kit for the 07? a few
Honda dealers near me dont have it and say they have one for the 06 thats it

I believe 06-07 used the same kit. They are now coming out with the 08's. I hope to have one soon.

ya the kit i got said it was designed for an 06...same kit, just tell them to order you that one.

Not to steal this thread but I have a few questions about the HRC kit. I have an '07 that I got two months ago and I'm wanting to buy the kit but not loose the warranty by installing it myself. If I was to buy the kit off ebay do you think that my local honda shop would still cover it and install it? Another question, I read on another forum that replacing the piston and rings after 15 hours of use with the HRC kit would be recommended. What do you guys think about that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

running my 06 hrc (installed at purchase) for 2 years with same piston

yes they should install it and no it wont void warranty
(even if you install it, as long as its not your work that trashes it)

bought mine w/ hrc on an 07. Don't concern yourself w/ any warranty. I just went thru a big deal w/ my 04 that blew. Warranty is good for 6 months & the extended warranty is a waste of time & $$$$$$$$. when the 04 blew up honda covered about $1000 & I paid for the piston, cylinder (said I needed trans gears) gears & added an hrc kit . that cost me $1500 out of pocket & I paid $600 for the extended warranty(because it was the 1st year of the 450). So when you add up the numbers it ='s never buy extended warranty.
