Here are some of the solutions I've seen posted. I'm sure there are others.

1) stop being a *****
2) carb spring mod
3) Baldwin carb mod (whatever that is)
4) lighter carb spring
5) Honda thumb trottle
6) Cascade extended lever
7) James Lucky adjustable lever

I wasn't happy with the Baldwin mod or the Cascade lever. The James Lucky lever solved the issue for me.

I do have a used Cascade lever for sale cheap if anyone is interested.

THere are only two things that need to be done to solve this problem.

1. Buy the ebay spring for the yfz carb, its easy to put in, but if you cant you can send it in and they will do it for you.

2. Buy and used honda thumb throttle something off a 400ex, or even a trx90 (which I hear works better) I have the 400ex and the carb spring and it 100percent better. When taking the yamaha throttle housing off just make sure you splice the two wires together.

the spring is like 20 ish and the honda I bought cost 25.
