i dont think so i believe you need the resistor kit for that

06's come with the resistor kit built in. If you compare them to earlier bikes that is the difference in the electronics under the hood.

I TOOK MY HEAD LIGHTS OFF AND I DID NOT NEED THE RESISTER KIT...I HAD THEM OFF FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AND I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM!!

no problems here either, when you take them off use two small plastic bottles to cover the plugs still on the quad to keep dirt out if you want to put the lights back on some time. i just stuck the plugs in the bottles and put electrical tape on the openings, then zip tie them to your old light mounts:bandit:

That's an odd thing to do. I just put electrical tape over the plugs, works just fine.

As for YFZ's having problems it seems it's a hit and miss for the '04's and '05's. I've got an '05 and I've had my lights off plenty of times and I've never had a problem.

hi! im from argentina, ive got a 06 yfz and i have taken out the lights,I just removed it,but there are two metal plates that you have to remove frm the chasis, and disconect the switch. It´s a realy easy job.and your bike will have a new figure.Saludos desde argentina!Good luck,Bye
