The frame on my 01 400ex is starting to develop some rust in a few places. I don't have the time to tear it down right now, so what is my best option? Sand down the rust and paint? If so, what is the best paint to use?

PJ1 makes a matching color for the 400ex frame. Prep the spots real well, spray the PJ1 color and some clear coat and you'll be good to go til the tear down:macho

have ya got a air compressor? if so, harbor freight sells a small self contained hand held sand blaster that works very well for this type of stuff and only costs about 15.00. gets in the small tight crevases that ya cant get into with conventional tools :D

I got it from Rocky Mountain but you may be able to find it a well equipped Honda shop. I think there's another brand that matches but I don't remember the name.
