o need help, PLZ help

ok before i tell you what i did i know im a dumbass. you guys know the vent right below the carb, well i just dropped a 205 jet down it... will somebody let me know what to do. and has anybody else did it? cuz the more i look at it im suprised i havent did it earlier. but sumone plz help.............................thanks tyler

im not sure what u mean by vent? the place where there is suposed to be a venthose?

yea then when i rejet it i have to take the hose off to get to the main.

it fell into the lower end? where the crankcase vent tube mounts?

im guessing you mean the crankcase breather hole? try getting one of those magnetic arm things and sticking it down there. thats really the only thing you can do short of taking the bottom end apart. also, possibly try starting with just the right case cover (clutch side.) you can see into the engine a little bit. my guess is its stuck somewhere else though. good luck!

a big vacumm, tip it upside down.. i dont think there magnetic.. i think u gota tear into to it..

already turned upside down, and i thought of the vacuum and decided against it, cuz i figured it wouldnt work. but i think im gunna take the engine off and shake it upside down for a while and if it dont work then i guess il just tear it down. really sucks cuz i just got it together two weeks ago... but i guess **** happends

yea, jets are not gonna be magnetic. my suggestion would be this.

tip the bike on its back end. (this will rush all the oil to the back) then, tilt it on the front end. (oil will rush forward) hopefully this will wash the jet near the bottom drain plug in the motor. drain it and pray it comes out. if not, take the clutch side case cover off and see if it comes out near the lower oil screen and tilt the bike twards you.... should come out.

let us know what happens.

that baby is siting on top of your tranny you need to pull the clutch cover and remove your plug and rotate the motor by turning your rear tires and see if you can see it fish it out with a wire a magnet will not work and good luck

sounds like something that would happen to me. Keep us posted. In case it does happen to another one of us. At least you knew it fell into there before you decided to start riding...see it could be worse :blah:

ok thanks for the pic but how were you telling me to do this again.. im a little confused on the starter idler or whatever

WOOHOO!!!! got it out... i took my plastic, gastank, plastic heat shield and carb off, and the second i looked down the hole it fell into it was just settin there. so i got a stick and put ducktape on the end and tried to get it, it stuck to it but wouldnt come out sideways. so then i thought for a second and when and got one of the things you see at hardware stores... there really long and when you press the end button or whatever the metal prong hands come out. i was callin it a grabbler... but i pulled it out with one of them... i finally found a use for one of those things. but thanks for all the help guys.

They are called mechanical finger. You got very lucky. I thought you were going to have to split the case to get it.
