I have a 440 in my EX and I'm thinking of buying a Stroker Crank for it. I was wandering what kind of cc's I'll end up at. I know that a 416 stroked is about 440 but I can't find any info on using a 440 piston and sleave...
Any info would be apriciated.....

Actually i think it all depends on what mm crank it is. I know Most of TCs cranks, will up the cc by 40cc. So a stock bore is a 440. .120(425cc) over is a 465cc. It may very on the differant cranks, im not sure. But i know thats how TCs are.

Talk to Mike at For Dirt Only, 740-967-1078. He stokes his cranks 7 mm, So your 440 will be bumped up to a 493. Everyone I talk to says that his engines rock! :devil I am going with his 463 kit, just because I want to. :D

This is close but you actually figure displacement by
(bore/2) ^ 2 * 3.14 *(stroke) so actually the bigger the bore the more the stoke is going to increase the displacement.

So a stock bikes bore is 85.0 mm and the stroke is 70.0mm and that would make the displacement be 397.013 cc and say you increase the stroke 7 mm then the displacement jumps from 397.013 cc to 436.715 cc, about a 40 cc difference but with a 90 mm piston and stock stroke the displacement will be 445.095 cc but with a 7mm longer stroke this displacement bumps up to 489.604 a 44.5 cc difference so it isn't much but the bore does matter when figuring the displacement with a different stroke.

Sorry for the long post but I couldn't really explain it any other way.

Ya, it made only a 4.5 cc dif. I was just pointing out that it does make a diff.

HUH? I was told that the formula (in lamens terms:) was
bore x bore x stroke x .0007854. which gives me 397.21605.
Looks like the end numbers are pretty close though, I just
can't seem to read your formula:huh

He just did some of the math for you already. Isn't math just wonderful.

i know how people say the 440 revs pretty slow, wouldn't a 440 thats been stroked rev REALLY slow? but insane top end?

What kinda horse power would those 465's or "493's be putting out?????

no thats the whole purpose of a stroker kit. They rev quicker than stock.

Mike told me that if I did everything that he recommended, my 463 should be around the 50 hp range. As far as his 493, I was scared to ask! :devil
Hey Varmit57, if you want to ride one that has been done, you can come over and ride mine. Parts should be here today. :macho

bore to stroke ratio affects how it revs.... in theory a 440 bore and a 6mm stroke should rev a little faster than stock. the only hang up is the addtional rotational mass.
