what is a good aluminum cleaner? i just bought a cannondale and wanted to clean the frame.

agree 100%..mothers is by far the best. After you get the big stuff off with mothers, switch to Never Dull.

I got the frame on my cannondale looking like a mirror. I started out by wet sanding the frame (this prevents build-up of aluminum on the paper and frame) until it was nice and smooth. Once most of the scratches were out, I applied some Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish and just buffed the crap out of it with a buffing wheel on a drill. The buffing wheel is basically what "made" the frame shine. After buffing multiple times, the frame was mirror like. Also, the stock, black clutch cover can be sanded bare and polished even better than the aluminum. Just throwing mothers on the frame without buffing looks even worse than it does before you start. Its REAL hard getting all the black residue off and thats why the wheel is so nice.
