I have a 1990 yamaha blaster I've been working on for some friends. I went over it and got it running again, but then had a spell of bad luck. I rode it for about an hour, and somehow the mainshaft in the engine broke right by the mount for the clutch. I decided to give up on the project. I have a clutch that will go in it, all it needs is the shaft replaced. The other known problem is that the frame is a little tweaked in the front from a little mishap with a tree. It can be repaired. This is a great opportunity for someone to pick up a cheap project.
Here is what I have just replaced:
Brand new Razr front tires
clutch cable
grips
left case cover (it was missing)
front sprocket
air filter
kickstart mechanism (excluding kicker itself)
shift mechanism (internal)
The rest of the motor looked to be fine to me. It was running good when the shaft broke. I would like to sell it as a whole now, but may be open to parting it out if I have enough people wanting parts.
I am open to offers right now. I should have pictures up in a few days. I'm located in Fort Wayne, IN. If you have any questions, 260-450-1112 feel free to call.
Thanks, Matt
