I'm looking for handgaurds that are durable and that mount so I dont have to mess with my placement of my levers(I ride with my levers pretty low).Any suggestions? Thanks,Mat

powermadd. priced good. look great. easy to install. you can put the mount under or above the levers so if you like your levers low that helps. and if you want the wrap around handguards they have a wrap around kit you can buy. they also make an extended guard that just snaps on for XC racin' and stuff.http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p133/trx400extreme/P8200003_edited.jpg

I have had both cycra and powermadd.

Cycra are more durable and are very rigid. The down side is that in a crash they can injure your wrists and hands. I have heard of broken wrists from the Cycra gaurds. I believe this is most likely to occur if you go over the bars.

Powermadd are not as durable and not as rigid. But, they will give way more easily and potentially avoid wrist and hand injury in a crash.

Both seem to serve the purpose of deflecting things kicked up from a quad in front of you and both deflect limbs, etc.

So there are good and bad to both in my opinion.

I went with pro tapers. they had em at my local shop for like 30 bucks(still had enough $ for a new chain). Not exactly what I wanted but they mounted up nice and seem good enough for now. Mat
