06' 450er trouble starting

i'm having inconsistent starting issues with my 06 eletric start . it absolutly won't start in gear , in neutral sometimes it'll start right up and other times you'll only hear eletrical winding noise . I just bought a new battery and the problem has been ongoing since before aftermarket mods have been put on. it just continues to get worse. anyone have any sugestions ? or possibly know what the problem may be ? thanks everyone

Did you get a recall notice from Honda for the starter clutch yet? it could be that, Had mine done last week.

Yes i did get the recal notice just the other day . I thought i'd see if anyone else had any sugestions or had the same problem. thanks for the reply.

sounds like starter clutch.... pull off the side case and check it out... or bring it back to the dealer for a new clutch... u might have to argue.

yep, it starts out at random like that then its all gone and only spins the starter without engaging the motor

its the one way starter gear, go get the recal done
