old man just bought a left over 05. the shock is too loose, even with the compression on full hard. when sitting on it there is about 6 inches of sag. can the spring be tightend and do we need any special tools or do we have to send it to someone such as gt thunder.

sounds like it's blown out? Id send it out to get rebuilt. Check out http://www.worksperformance.com/. I've heard they're a good deal and do a good job.

I've got a brand new one I'll glady sell. I bought it with the fronts, and the rear does work with a 400. I'll sell it cheaper than you can buy one or send one off. It has about fifteen minutes of messing around the yard on it.

its not blown or anything, its feels the same as the shock on my 400. hes a big guy and needs it stiffer, only gettin like 2 inches of travel out of the shock so its a pretty rough ride.

You can just install a heavier spring to match your weight or you can have it revalved for better performance at the same time.:)

Yeah, if he's that big of a guy to squash it down, he needs to get it revalved and a stiffer spring.
