hey guys...i got an 03 cr85. the thing f'in rips. once it hits the powerband i have to hold on real hard to stay on the bike. i never realized how light there front ends were, this thing lifts up in 2 seconds. on jumps it is really hard to get used to because its so light, ive biffed it like 3 times so far...i gotta get over the bars more. its a great bike and it flies compared to the ttr. after i ride it i feel like ive went through a full workout, its tiring.

i road my friends 250f while he road the cr85 and its really not that fast. i feel like when im on the powerband its just so much faster.

hmm what else...? i guess i love my bike haha. thats about it.

list of mods and some pics:
FMF Fatty pipe with shorty silencer, Vforce reed valves, Pro Taper Contour bars, new wiseco piston, brand new dunlop tires, all new sunline sporckets and chain, sunline shifter, new honda racing graphics and seat cover, and twin air filter

well these are the last toys for a while now. but in total ive spent $450 + my ttr and 250ex...
so basically...3600.

and the cr came with a bunch of extra parts. stock exhaust, new sprockets, filters, etc. its nice, its wicked though and really hard to get used to

The 250f will rape the 85 anywhere. The power band it like hitting nos. You go when you hit it. While the 250f are a constant smooth power. I love two strokes, I love how I can just get a large amout of power with such ease. Thats a nice looking Cr you got there though.:macho

LOL ya my next bike is gonna be a pinger. I love the sound and the feel of the bikes. They are mean lookin too. I want either a cr 125 or a yz 125. Either one will be great for me. I have a lot of plans for my next bike. Any plans for your bikes?

You aren't gonna do any engine work? Well I guess if you were going to make it faster you'd buy a 125 LOL.:p

There is a cr85 that sits in Pompton Honda, and it has been there every time i've walked in for like the last 4 years, and it was beat, and looked identical to the pictured one. Last time i was in like 2 weeks ago, it was gone...

clean bike

if you lay it down on the right side couldnt you mess up the pipe or head jw cuz it seems like it would be easy to rip from the head with that thing stickin out

dirtbike&quad
08-28-2007, 08:04 PM
yea its a fatty so it sticks out a lot. if i dropped it to the right the pipe would probably dent. i have the stock pipe tho so incase i have problems its all good i ll just rejet

and the tires were brand new when i got the bike lol
