Picked up another new toy tonight

Well ive been beating around the bush lately about building up another one of my mustangs here, but instead decided to pick up a 97 supercharged cobra with just a couple other little things done.......:devil: It was actually a close buddies of mine who i picked it up from, its sat for over year pretty much. So im gonna go over some odds and ends and cant wait to get this thing on the road. Heres a couple pics i snapped when i got home, its dirty as can be in the pics from the trip today.

nice cobra man. i was looking into getting that model cobra my self about a month ago. i only found one for sale in my area for about 9,500. only had like 35,000 miles on it. if u dont mind me asking how much did u pay for that one?

yup im all ford (if they go down to japanese im goin down with them) and i love mustangs ive had 2 which were total junkers, but you know what they say, 3 times a charm so well see what the future holds, and my favorite body as well is the 93 and down followed by the all new ones, then the 70's models.

Hey thanks for the comments guys.

72 chevelle SS, As is sat when i picked it up it pushed close to 600hp with a bad tune. When im done with it and putting a couple of my little touches to it i should see around 700 or so. Its def. a sleeper:devil: And i hear ya about the chevy pulling a ford, im a die hard ford man myself, but couldnt pass the 2500hd up for the deal i got on it a while back.

Crazy lil punk, the whip in the back, well thats just something i slapped together not too long ago:devil: :D It might be for sale soon also.

If it does have a supercharger, it would have to be aftermarket. The car did not come stock with a supercharger. If it's pushing close to 600hp, there has to be other stuff done to it because that's a lot of horsepower for that car, and, if he plans on pushing 700hp, it would be interesting to hear what he plans to do because your not going to squeeze another 100hp out of an engine just by advancing the timing and turning a few screws.

Well...what you don't know is that the manufacturers don't put good muffler bearings on a car. So it's never pushing the hp it needs to.

I'd say...with my experience...If you were to change the bearing...You'd get damn near 60 hp more, and then he only has 40 hp to go.

How i plan to make all that HP? Im putting a couple of those import exhause tips on this beast and adding like 50 stickers, thats worth 700hp alone:blah: Sorry, i had too.

treake, the engine is far from a stock assembly, it has been built from bare block up with nothing spaired. In these cars/engines, tuning alone on a high HP powerplant is critical. A simple out of the box performance chip will not even get you close to where you should be, might seem like it, but not. Running a system like PMS, Accel, fast, or many other sytems allows true tuning, the sky is the limit in most cases. With that said, getting a true tuned baseline will determine my next move if needed.

everyone and their brother has a fox body up here. I like mustangs, but it gets kind of annoying.

Nice stang....do you know where the car originally came from? My brother had a 97 cobra, came color and he had a super charger added. I think he was making about 530 flywheel and around 430-440 rwhp.

I hope you're talking about the block itself, cause there's no way a stock 302 is making 500hp. My brother's stroked 351 only puts out 585, so there's no way a 302 is pushing that haha. I'm pretty sure you're talking about the block.
