I am about 20-30 mins outside of Syracuse. And if you are talkin about the country Trail(The all Cinder Rail Road track trails I live like 1 mile from those) I am gonan eb really mad if you were up this way and i didn't know it.

Well those trails are go from one side of the state to the other. They are about half way up in New York. It used to be a railroad to transport cattle and coal way back when we used trains.

the deleware & hudson railroad was the driving force in that area for several years. Do a little research on them & you are bound to learn more.

at one time it is said that the largest railroad roundhouse in the world was located in a small town called oneonta, ny................about 1hr from syracuse.

LOL.........well I grew up in that area so I kinda have a little history there myself.

Here I am jumping a set of those old "D&H" railroad tracks. The tracks were long ago pulled up & the cinder beds served as a road for hunters, farmers, snowmobilers & off road guys.

I think I have ridden those roads before. Since I live in Binghamton and Oneonta isnt that far away, I ride there by connecting on trails from Harpursville. Nice trails ( cept when you ride on coal you get black shyt all over your quad , not to mention your face! )

DantheEXman, there's only two sets of tracks that go to NYC and they would be called the River Line (CSX) and the Hudson Line which Amtrak uses and I believe they are not the same!! Just thought you would want to know. Where do you live??? county??
