Nice 'zilla sandman!
Did you run into frame/gas tank clearance problems with the downdraft carbs? I'm looking into bigger motors for my LT but they all have downdraft carbs because of the location of the airbox on newer bikes.

Thanks Andrew, I had to cut the top frame rail and fabricate a new piece that individual k&n air filters fit between. I built an alminium gas tank- battery holder under the seat so I would have the clearance up front I needed for the carbs and air cleaners. The motor in mine is a 98 honda cbr 900 rr. I know 2 guys with honda cbr 600's and a guy with a suzuki air cooled 600 all in zilla frames. The zilla frame has a lot of room in it and I found one relatively cheap after I sold all the stuff I didn't use. The disadvantage was that not a lot of parts are being made for them compared to a banshee of 250r 400ex.

Yeah that's Brutus. It's a LT500 with a (i believe) gsxr1100 that's all built to the hilt. 250hp and it has nitrous on it if that isn't enough. It's owned by Cascade Innovations up here in Oregon. It's totally bad and everything is custom, waaaaaay nice. They are selling it if you have an extra $13K laying around. Heck I'd even go pick it up and take it to the shipping company for ya if you let me take it to the dunes once first :devil
