what year 450R carb

i heard alot of talk about putting the 450R carb on a 400EX.

i was just wandering what year carbs are you guys using?
also what size carb is it? like the stock 400EX is 39mm i think. what size is the 450R?

actually i wanna say the stocker is like 36mm. the 04-05 450r is a 42mm, and the 06-07 is a 39mm FCR, i believe. i'm getting my 42mm monday, cant wait.

stock 400ex carb is 38mm,

and the 06+ 450r carbs work really well
because they are an fcr carb which i believe is a 40mm...

cool. thanx guys. that might be something i'll look into in the future.

also how about the Keihin FCR 39mm flatslide. are they just as good as the 450r carbs? sometimes you can find good deals on them on ebay motors.

The 39MM FCR is by far the best carb available for the 400EX. I had one on my 400EX and the throttle response was unbelievable.

I still have it, in a plastic bag. If interested let me know.
