i prefer the hmf... they are a great pipe, and add alot from bottom - mid....

i THINK the lrd runs about 101-102db's... well thats whatlrd says but i think there a little louder than that....

i have an hmf exhaust on my 400ex. i think the lrd's give you more power. i've heard around 8 hp just with the slip on! the hmf gives you about 7-8 after jetting. i love my hmf since its so loud.

8 hp huh? and without rejetting? i guess ignorance is bliss? anyway, both pipes produce great power and will hold up well. in uncorked form they are both around the same sound output. looking at the prices may help you decide this one..

HMF is definately a great pipe. but ive also heard that lrd's are great too. between the two id pick hmf mainly because of the price...they're cheap compared to alot of pipes.

go with a hmf. i've had both pipes and the hmf is a lot better all around.

i have the LRD header back system and jet. i love it big diffrence man i would go with lrd awesome low,mid and top end. the sound is nice too its loud but it has a real deep throaty sound. my buddy has a kfx400 we raced before i put it on and he had me by a bike at the most now i am smokin him by a bike and half almost 2. very nice system the header will never fade or discolor and hasnt yet. good luck
