wait so the 400ex is history and a quad with a xr650 motor is taking its place?

Nope, they should be coming out together. I heard the new 400 is supposed to have a major suspension overhaul. I can't wait to see the new big bore. We should see both of them in september.

The 2 new 2008 sport quad models are as follows:


TRX400ex: From what I hear has all new gas suspension

XR650 sport quad: Going to be really fast and reliable like all Honda's..., could compete with a Raptor 700R.


Just wait until September for the new models

Still no release on what exactly either of the quads will have or what they look like. Well the Sushi bar next to Honda knows but other than that its like top secret information

The 400EX needs some upgrades in the suspension department compared to the LTZ400 but I would like to see Honda test they're upcoming (hopefully) EFI system on the 400 as well.

And I will definitely be looking into the big bore sport quad. I like Raptors but don't really want to buy a Yamaha and the Honda is bound to be better and more reliable. But will it be fuel injected? I can't wait!

Just messing Honda has talked about a bigbore sport quad for awhile and this the magazines even know about. They know it is coming but nothing else. The 400, is completely secret on the otherhand. Look for EFI, suspension, and maybe liquid cooled. All I would ask for is better suspension and its good to go

wont be too hard since the craptor's cant even get out of the dealerships without problems... haha! :p :p :p


actually... the quad to beat will be the new KTM 450 and 525 sx's. guaranteed to be lighter, faster, and more powerful then anything out. if you look at this past months dirt wheels you'll see what im talking about. should be a test ride article by this upcomming months issue.

yep I know, Tim Farr was out testing it about 3 weeks ago at the flat track near me in Ocala. This was the 1st unveiling of the KTM that the public has really only seen. KTM I would give at least a few years before I would buy a quad off them. Anyways I stick with Honda and their 400 because it will do better in trails than 450's the fact that the 450's you have to rev higher. I'm a Honda man, thats what I am. haha but props to the KTM450

aye caramba. This happens to me all the time, first with my truck, now with my new 400. Im afraid to eat or drink anything cuz I know there will be a better version tomorrow lol.

Did I hear right the new 400ex coming out Sept. 8th. ? I guess the big bore will be released with it?
