Hey Guys,

my buddy just rebuilt his 240 blaster with a stroker crank and fresh top end so it is actually somethin like a 250 blaster. He thinks that this thing will just blow my 88' 250r out of the water which has an fmf pipe and silencer, K&N, and v-force3 reeds. Any body got any comments on how these compare?

depends on what 240 kit he has and whether or not its setup "right" and if he has the suspension to boot and what/how your your quad is setup.

the better of the 240/stroker kits when setup right can haul some arse. :D

yeah ...they are no joke! i saw one at the drags clean-up in the 2-stroke division.it was a race only bike but it was eating banshees!they can go fast but they are primitive (older ones) and too small.i can openly admit i like putting around in one ...they are kinda torqey.sorta like riding a pit bike !!!!:D

a majority of the blasters are pretty weak...

I rode a 240 blaster with all the right setup items, I forgot what it had exactly, but I think it had a 35 a/s, lrd pipe, some kind of reeds and a well ported stock 240 sleaved cylinder. This thing was FAST, the problem was that you couldn't use half the power as the chassis was so bad. I knew some people that had 240 blasters done by Outlaw Atv(no longer in business and screwed alot of people), but he used to be a good business man and do good work. These guys would drag almost any atv with a stock looking blaster and WIN. But generaly speaking, blasters aren't fast and handle like crap. Yes, a well done 240 blaster can beat a 250r in a drag circimstance, but the 250r far far far outhandles it in almost anything of a real world riding. To me, I would rather have a slower and great handling atv over a fast in a straght line only atv. I beat alot of atv's on my atc200x, they sure may be fast in a straght line, but my 200x will out handle them any day and come out the winner in the end. Handling and controllable power use is more important to me than a rocket in straight line, but doesn't turn worth a crap.
