Swigin,

I've been looking at getting a 350X motor but I have been wondering how you guys keep them going?

All the motor parts are discontinued

build it right the first time and they run for years and years.

mine still has the 1986 crank in it....ebay is the place to find parts

you can still get parts for them....companys make big bore kits still and i'm pretty sure you can get a lot of oem parts too.

swingin you have anything done to your motor?

i could probably make it to your area in about 7 hours or so..i know the route down that way pretty well now.

i wont tell anyone to build a rx out of a stock frame....iv seen to many tear apart.

the stock frame just aint built for a stong 4 stroke motor

its a lot of work and in the end i never seen one hold up to hard core mx but power wise it all depends on how you build it.

iv seen 350x motors up over 500cc and eat every bike at the track.....a stock frame will not hold up to one built like that for more than a race or 2 at the most.

my brother had HREATV build this frame for the 350x motor....its not a hack job. its made out of .120 and .085 wall (way thicker then even leager or any of them) it is heavey but i will never have to worry about denting a bottom tube or bending it.....unless a train hits it....lol
